Reuse Organizations

All local area reuse organizations were invited to participate in this pilot. The following organizations have volunteered to manage a drop-off station on at least one day.  Click here for more information on the drop-off stations.


Austin Creative Reuse

Austin Creative Reuse is a nonprofit that collects and sells donated craft materials. Their goal is to give unwanted materials a new life through crafting and upcycling. ACR is a volunteer-run organization that seeks to “foster conservation and reuse through creativity, education and community building.”


Central Texas Food Bank

Formerly the Capital Area Food Bank, the Central Texas Food Bank's mission is to nourish hungry people and lead the community in the fight against hunger.

Goodwill Central Texas

Goodwill Central Texas works to empower people to work through education and job training, retail stores and business services, and community partnerships.



Lifeworks advocates for youth and families seeking their path to self-sufficiency, helping provide housing, work and healing opportunities to those need.

Salvation Army Family Stores

The Salvation Army Family Stores support the programs of the Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC), a voluntary, faith-based program serving men and women who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves. When you donate goods to The Salvation Army, those goods are then sold through our stores and funds are used for the ARC programs.


Street Youth Ministry

Street Youth Ministry is a faith-based ministry for homeless young people in Austin, Texas. They provide food, clothing, toiletries and supplies as well as guidance counseling.


Arms of Hope

Arms of Hope is a not-for-profit Christian care organization that assists children and single-mother families in need, helping them avoid homelessness, poverty, abuse and neglect and by leading them to lives of sustaining and productive citizenship. 


JOSCO Products

Josco Products is a local textile recycler and industrial manufacture passionate about reuse. Founded in 1980, JOSCO creates upcycled industrial cleaning products out of surplus textiles such as clothing, sheets and fabric.
