Volunteer

We need your help! Help accept items from students on behalf of participating reuse organizations to keep good stuff out of the landfill and off the curb! Shifts last 2.5 hours, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is preferred (though not required).

As a thank you, MoveOutATX will provide cool-it towels and discount stickers that get you Perks! at local businesses (includes free tacos, queso, frozen yogurt, discounted yoga, and more!)

Water refills and snacks will be available at your check-in headquarters location.

Shift dates & times:

  • Saturday, July 20 (10:30 am – 1 pm || 12:45 – 3:15 pm || 3 – 5:30 pm)

  • Sunday, July 21 (10:30 am – 1 pm || 12:45 – 3:15 pm || 3 – 5:30 pm)

  • Friday, July 26 (10:30 am – 1 pm || 12:45 – 3:15 pm || 3 – 5:30 pm)

  • Saturday, July 27 (10:30 am – 1 pm || 12:45 – 3:15 pm || 3 – 5:30 pm)

  • Sunday, July 28 (10:30 am – 1 pm || 12:45 – 3:15 pm || 3 – 5:30 pm)

  • Wednesday, July 31 (7:45 – 10:15 am || 10 a.m. – 12:30 pm)

You will register under one of the HQ locations: Croix, Escala or Spider House. Volunteers will check-in at this location, receive a brief program overview/training, and then be assigned to another location (less than a 10 minute walk). If you’d like to work with a friend, please make a note on the sign-up form.
