The City of Austin is committed to reducing the amount of waste sent to area landfills by 90 percent by 2040. Austin Resource Recovery provides a wide range of services designed to transform waste into resources while keeping our community clean.
UT Austin, Office of Sustainability
The Office of Sustainability, established in 2009, promotes daily campus sustainability at The University of Texas at Austin by assisting student environmental groups like the Campus Environmental Center, stewarding the campus’ Sustainability Master Plan, facilitating research and projects through the Green Fund, and loosely coordinating the oversight of sustainability throughout the university.
UT Austin, Off-Campus Initiative
New Student Services provides resources to students who live off campus through outreach programs and events to help them feel more connected to campus, Austin, and other off-campus students. There is a dedicated website, offcampus.utexas.edu, that features city and university resources, as well as a housing portal designed specifically for UT students.
